CHEHALIS—Washington Beer Blog says that South Park-based Baron Brewing is leaving Seattle for the more rural charms of Chehalis. The company's Pillager's Pub in Greenwood will carry on as usual and the existing brewery will be sold...hopefully to an up-and-coming brewer in the city. [WBB]
ALKI BEACH/REDONDO BEACH—The latest in boiled seafood news comes from waterfront view destination Salty's. The Alki Beach and Redondo Beach locations both have a clam boil in the works for October 6. For $25 you get some local clams get boiled up with corn, onions, potatoes and a mirepoix, a Caesar salad, bread for dipping, and a pint of Organic IPA from Portland's Hopworks Urban Brewery.
