MEALS ON WHEELS—Chris Werner's got the goods on yet another new food truck. Brothers Alex and Joel Alicea will take to the streets with El Coqui. The truck will serve Puerto Rican cuisine, a rarity in Seattle even in the brick-and-mortar realm. [Seattle Met]
WHITE CENTER—Three years after the restaurant began collecting emails, Zippy's Giant Burgers has issued its first-ever newsletter. And one of the joys of the new, larger White Center location: beer. Happy hour runs from 3-6 p.m. on weekdays, and consists of $2 Olympia and Rainier tallboys, and stubby bottles of Session. All other beers are 50 cents off, and diminutive li'l Zips with cheese are $2 apiece. Monthly specials abound as well; track all this on Facebook, or sign up for the newsletter in hopes that the next issue doesn't take another three years (we kid, Zippy). [EaterWire]
CAPITOL HILL—Jess Voelker says Oola Distillery's tasting room will open October 6. That intersection of 14th and Union is awfully busy these days, between Skillet Diner, the soon-to-relocate Restaurant Zoe and forthcoming Chinese restaurant Lucky 8. [Seattle Met]
