MEALS ON WHEELS—Chris Werner tells us of yet another new food truck coming your way. Well, coming your way if you're a Kirkland resident. The menu for awesomely named truck The Box on Wheels sounds pretty damn good: hum bao; pomme frites with truffle yuzu aioli; and mini bagel burgers. Right now owner Reis Llaneza is at Juanita Beach Park twice a week, but he's got some other (hopefully 206) locations in mind. [Seattle Met]
ZOMG CUPCAKES—First everyone freaks out about the return of the pumpkin spice lattes at Starbucks and now this: Trophy Cupcakes' seasonal mocha cupcakes are back. Made with espresso buttercream from Caffe Vita's Del Sol espresso, these will be available all month at Trophy locations, as well as the Caffe Vita on Capitol Hill. [EaterWire]
MADISON VALLEY—OMG! More cupcakes! Squee! Madison Park Blogger says New York Cupcakes is softly open in Madison Valley in the former Bella Dolce address. [MPB]
ZOMG DOUGHNUTS—Frost Doughnuts, makers of a rare food item that lures Seattleites up the highway to Mill Creek, is holding its Frost Celebration Show September 21 from 6-9 p.m. What does this mean? Think of it as a fashion show for doughnut and dessert trends (which exist). Balance out the sugar rush with bites from Herban Feast and some bubbles from Treveri Cellars. Full details here.
