Eater Denver interviewed Fruition's Paul Attardi for a Gatekeeper piece yesterday, and Attardi alleged that Jason Sheehan, Seattle Weekly's former restaurant reviewer, tried to jump the reservation line for $50 back in 2007. Today, Sheehan verbosely makes a case for why the incident absolutely, positively, totally, would never, ever have happened. Reason #2 he tells Westword: " I worked for an alternative newspaper. Anyone who thinks I would've had fifty bucks in my pocket has obviously never known an alternative newspaper journalist. Hell, I work for a fancy-pantsy magazine now and I STILL don't have fifty bucks in my pocket." [Westword]
