Nancy Assuncao, Paula Deen's longtime publicist, quit after six years on the job reportedly because of Deen's new pharma sponsorship. Says Page Six: "[S]he quit as Deen's spokeswoman and chief marketer last month as Deen negotiated her deal to hawk the drug Victoza." The television personality is currently on a Paula Deen cruise.
