Fat Smitty's is a Port Townsend burger dive that had thousands of dollar bills tacked to every available surface. This weekend, with the help of some local Boy Scouts, owner Carl “Fat Smitty” Schmidt took the money down with the intention of donating it. Manager Casey Carson, Schmidt's nephew, estimated it would be about $6,000. In actuality, it came to a grand total of $10,316. $3k will go to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee and the rest will go to a local Boy Scout Camp. Oh, and they will restart the tradition again. So, save those $1 bills. [-EN-]
