Booze Suppliers Win Reprieve

New, 1 comment

Liberty_Seattle.jpgWashington's burgeoning craft distillers have complained that by ceasing to purchase their product for state stores post I-1183's passage, the Washington State Liquor Board created undue hardship. In response, the Liquor Board will continue to buy Special Order liquor until April 6th, says Liberty Bar's Andrew Friedman. Friedman invites "any one who works in a bar" with questions on the reprieve to get in touch with him. Craft distillers and other suppliers will have to sign a buy-back agreement with the WSLCB, agreeing to take back whatever is left unsold in the stores as of May 31, when Washington exits the liquor business.
