Volunteer Park Cafe co-founder and alum Heather Earnhardt opened the doors to her new Southern bakery and eatery, The Wandering Goose last week. Friends and fans pitched in money and labor to help finish the buildout of the bakery. Sharing a wall with Ethan Stowell's Rione XIII, Earnhardt's new spot is open for breakfast and lunch ever day but for Wednesday. Dinner is served on Friday nights. The menu features items such as biscuit sandwiches, a fried chicken plate, grits, and porridge. The Wandering Goose is open from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on all days but Wednesday.
