Buried at the bottom of this article in The Oregonian is a little nugget about how Portland restaurateur Kurt Huffman is joining forces with Crush's Jason Wilson to open a modern steakhouse in downtown Seattle--the first restaurant in Huffman's restaurant group, Chefstable, to open outside of Portland. A quick call to Wilson sheds light on the fact that at this point, it's all speculation: "The big issue here is that there isn't a deal right now," says Wilson. "So, it's a lot like a Monty Python skit, 'We have heard there may be something happening, but aren't sure if it's true and no one can confirm it yet.' No deal has been signed." There you have it.
