BELLTOWN— It's not too late to buy tickets to Tom Douglas' annual Cookbook Social tomorrow at The Palace Ballroom. $20 buys you entrance into the event, tastes from each author, and one drink ticket. Even if you don't have any shopping to do, this is a great event that lets you meet the authors and taste their cooking. Two guys from Modernist Cuisine, and co-founders of the online culinary school known as ChefSteps, will be doing a Town Hall talk and demo December 17. Chris Young, co-author of Modernist Cuisine: The Art and Science of Cooking and Grant Crilly, former MC research chef, will show how a basic understanding of your ingredients can improve your everyday meals.
