We checked in with Heather Earnhardt on the progress of her bakery and cafe, The Wandering Goose, and she tells us that she's planning for a June 2012 opening. The Volunteer Park Cafe alum says that her new cafe will offer southern-tinged breakfast and lunch fare. Sample dishes include pimiento mac 'n cheese, fried chicken, and grits.
We asked Earnhardt about the coffee program, and here's what she told us about choosing Caffe Vita as her roaster: "Since Stumptown sold-I want to keep everything super small and local. We will have our own roast from Vita under the Wandering Goose label!"
