With the popularity and critical raves nurtured in its Ballard home propelling them, D’Ambrosio Gelato announced last December that they would expand to Capitol Hill. We caught up with owner Marco D’Ambrosio to see how things are moving along, and he reports that—pending final permits— the gelato shop will be opening mid-March. In addition to a larger selection of gelato, D’Ambrosio plans on adding vegan sorbets, cannoli, and coffee drinks—think espressos, macchiatos, and the like—to the shop’s repertoire.
He added, “we get to make everybody's life in Capitol Hill a little better by bringing Gelato happiness, just like we did in Ballard.” Oh, and if you want to be a part of spreading happiness, the new location is still hiring.
