Without further ado, we present the latest and greatest from our sister site, Curbed Seattle.
ALKI -- Sun's out, guns out, Seattle! All this sunny, warmish (okay, still cold, but pretending never hurt anyone...) weather is getting us stoked for summer beach weather. Well, here's a doozie to start getting you pumped: a 2-bed, 1,800 sq. ft. pad on Alki for only $845,000. Gorgeous waterfront property for under $1 million? Yes, please.
MADISON PARK -- Since when is "charming" associated more with 2,470 sq. ft. houses with vaulted ceilings and private courtyards than with cute 1-bedroom cottages in the woods? Madison Park apparently believes now is a good a time as any, as this "charming" one-story, 3-bedroom, 2.25 bath house is on the market for $1,295,000. Next word in the queue likely to receive a new connotation: character (to mean that the place either is filled with ghosts and spirits or is austere and drab -- jury's still out on that one).
ON THE INTERWEBS -- We are abandoning our weekly coverage of the Viaduct because we know how the story ends now: that sucker gets torn down. In its stead? The shining beacon that is the Light Rail. As such, we will be bringing you weekly updates of everything Light Rail -- the laughter, the tears, the drama, and the controversies for your reading enjoyment. No hard feelings, Viaduct (or what's left of you). It's just time to move on.
