A tipster tells us that Persian restaurant Persepolis Grill has opened in the space formerly occupied by another Persian resaurant, the now defunctCaspian Grill. Though the exterior and interior look very much like the Caspian of old(with the exception of the Aegean(?) blue coat of paint), our tipster says that prices are lower(all but one entree are below $15) and that the food is spot on--he was especially taken with the kashk-e-bademjan(grilled eggplant). The University District spot is open for both lunch and dinner.
