MADRONA—Kate Perry send word that Restaurant Bea will debut in Madrona on March 30th. Bea replaces June on 34th Avenue, the neighborhood's retail core, and will be jointly operated by Perry(running front of house) and Tom Black(chef). Seattle Met's Allecia Vermillion says that Rich Coffey, Washington's only certified Cicerone(beer sommelier) will assist Black in the kitchen.
BELLTOWN—Owner Ridgley Kuang tells us that Green Leaf Vietnamese Restaurant will debut in its new hood in mid-April. Green Leaf currently has its one and only restaurant in the I.D.
CAPITOL HILL—After hosting some friends and family events, co-owner Ian Roberts says that The Pine Box will open later this week. Roberts was previously bar manager at Brouwer's and is a co-founder of Seattle Beer Week, so expect the beer selection to be scintillating. Pine Box replaces Chapel bar in the retail portion of the renovated Butterworth Funeral Home.
