Starbucks in Paris

starbucks-paris-blvd-capucines.jpgStarbucks is having a hard time in Europe, especially in France, because carry out coffee is verboten in its centuries-old cafe culture, says the New York Times: "While a New Yorker might grab a coffee to go — carry-out orders are one of the company’s biggest money makers — French friends tend to sit when they sip." So, Starbucks is spending millions of dollars upgrading and localizing their European cafes. [NYT]
