Mamma Enza Plans Isola Bella for Belltown

Ronald Holden, a rep for the Enza family and an Eater contributor, says that longtime Sicilian restaurateur and chef Enza Sorrentino has signed a letter of intent to lease a First Avenue and Bell corner location for her new venture, Isola Bella, Sicilian Cafe. The space is currently occupied by Floral Masters. Isola Bella will be a bakery and coffee shop during the day, and at night, it will serve street food like arancini, meatballs, and pizza by-the-slice. If the lease gets inked, they are hoping to take possession of the space May 1st and open shortly thereafter.

Sorrentino had planned on opening Polpetta in Queen Anne, but the landlord was not amenable and the deal fell through in December 2011. Like Polpetta, the new venture will be a more casual concept than previous Sorrentino restaurants.
