After 30 years of romancing Pike Place Market visitors with a fine dining experience matched with beautiful views, Chez Shea will shutter says Seattlepi.com. Storyville Coffee Company, a Bainbridge Island coffee roaster, will take over the upstairs space at the Corner Market building. No word yet on the closing date and whether relocation is a possibility. Sandy Shea, Chez Shea's founder sold the restaurant in 2004, and Tomoyo Ikawa, the current owner, declined to comment. Other changes at the market will include a new bakery and a Mexican eatery, per Seattlepi.com.
Pan Africa Restaurant & Bar recently announced that they will shutter at their 1st & Pike location. A tipster tells Eater that the restaurant will move across 1st Avenue to the east side of the street, adjacent to the Starbucks.
