On the April 21 edition of his show Seattle Kitchen, Tom Douglas not only told listeners to go eat at Cafe Munir but also dropped that he was "pretty" close to opening a falafel shop. Today, a representative confirms that though Douglas doesn't have a name yet, he will open a falafel-centered eatery next to Downtown's Paramount Theatre this fall. The Douglas falafel restaurant will serve beer and wine and have space for sit-down diners and "quick pick-ups and to-go wraps for those who want to enjoy their falafel as they hustle down Pine." In his last trip to Paris, Douglas became enamored(as many have before him) with L’as du Falafel's version.
