Norm's Bestows Batting Average Promo 'Honor' on Mariner Justin Smoak

Another Mariners season, another Norm's Monday night promo. Last year, the chosen player was Chone Figgins, and the price of a pint of Widmer's draft beer fluctuated, based on Figgins batting average. This year, the Fremont bar tells Eater that they have selected Mariners' first baseman Justin Smoak for the 'honor.'

As of today, Smoak is sporting a .187 batting average--so, all Widmer draft pints are $1.87. Next Monday, Smoak may crack .200--who knows? Best get to Norm's, save a few pennies and not take the chance.
