Restaurant Bea Beautifies Madrona's Main Drag

Tom Black and Kate Perry's Restaurant Bea opened to the public on March 30th, taking over the space formerly occupied by Vuong Loc's June. The concrete floors have been left intact, but Perry and Black have otherwise transformed the space with a pretty, modern-country aesthetic. Many new Seattle restaurants boast textured wallpaper, but Bea has bucked the trend and chosen a floral, old-timey pattern. The color palette is spring-like with soft greens, yellows, and whites. If you go, don't miss chef Tom Black's famous tater-tots. Craig Schoen, who has bartended at Spur is spearheading the cocktail program. So, those who mourn the loss of June's cocktails(and happy hour) have reason to be optimistic.
