My Ballard reports that a new Starbucks is already open, in the spot formerly occupied by Five Corners Market Bar & Kitchen. At the beginning of the year, Starbucks announced that it planned to open in the old Ballard spot in June--so this is well ahead of schedule. Starbucks joins Ballard Coffee Works, an independent coffee shop, which opened a few storefronts away last month. [MB]
