Essex Cocktail Bar From Delancey Duo Will Debut in July

Brandon Pettit and Molly Wizenberg, owners of pizza shop Delancey, plan to open a cocktail bar called Essex, in the space currently occupied by Bella Umbrella reports Seattle Magazine. Like Delancey, the name is inspired by a street on Manhattan's Lower East Side.

The plan is for a July opening, and Pettit and crew have been busy working on making their own vermouth, amaro, fernet, bitters, root beer, cola, carbonated cocktails, and sipping vinegars. The concept will be "a neighborhood bar with really good, craft drinks." Bella Umbrella, a beautiful little shop, will move to Pike Place Market in May.
