RUMOR MONGERINGSeattle Times drink columnist Tan Vinh lit up the Twitterverse yesterday when he posted, "Din Tai Fung looking to open in Seattle, maybe downtown, maybe U Village. No set date yet." Vinh later clarified that the xiaolongbao specialist would not relocate their existing Bellevue dumpling shop but rather add a second location. Developing. [@tanvinhseattle]

QUEEN ANNECloves, a new Indonesian restaurant, celebrates its grand opening tomrrow, per Queen Anne View. It is situated in the spot formerly occupied by Wanna Noodle. [QAV]

THE CRITICSSeattle Weekly's Hanna Raskin has been known to write a takedown or two, so CNN Eatocracy hits her up for a quote on the art of the negative review.
