Patent hoarder Nathan Myhrvold's mega expensive opus Modernist Cuisine has brought in about $20 million in sales, according to the Wall Street Journal. The book has sold about 45,000 copies — in its English, German, Spanish and French translations — and retails for about $450 on Amazon. No one's sure whether the book is yet profitable, but since Myhrvold is reputedly a billionaire, it's a trifling concern. [WSJ via Eater National]
