Nathan Myhrvold's award-winning megacookbook Modernist Cuisine gets a sequel: Modernist Cuisine at Home will be released October 8 and will cost $140. The book's 456 pages will provide home cooks with the same scientific approach to cooking the massive, 6-colume Modernist Cuisine did last year, and includes 400 new recipes.

Nathan Myhrvold and Maxime Bilet are listed as authors; Chris Young, who co-authored the first book as well, is not working on the project. Neither is Modernist cuisine photographer Ryan Matthew Smith. The mothership has the full press release--go read the whole thing over there.
