Steven Stone, owner of craft distiller Sound Spirits, says that in the aftermath of I-1183 with grocery stores now selling liquor(the first purchase was reportedly made at Metropolitan Market in Lower Queen Anne at 12 a.m. today), "Tax is the real killer. The state is going to make more money? Tax is more than 50% [of the total price].” On a $10 bottle of liquor, consumers will pay $16.39, and all of the tax goes to Washington State.
