Mondello Restaurant Helped Feds Crack Massive Hacking Scheme

New, 5 comments

Last summer, Mondello Ristorante Italiano's owner Corino Bonjrada reported to Seattle police that customers were calling in to report multiple unauthorized charges on their credit card. SPD called in the secret service, and their collective work paved the way for the federal indictment against Christopher Schroebel and David Schrooten.

Schroebel and Schrooten are accused of stealing more than 44,000 credit card numbers from Mondello and businesses across the U.S. in a massive hacking scheme. Shoreline's Seattle Restaurant Store was also a target. [KUOW]
