This week, The Stranger's Bethany Jean Clement sneaks in a review of Fonda La Catrina into her retrospective on Mexican food in Seattle. In the entertaining essay(she notes that "very-well-groomed people" seem drawn to Barrio and Poquitos), BJC concludes that Seattle needs more mid-upscale Mexican places like Fonda La Catrina: "Adequately sized plates of very tasty food cost less than $10, with no refried beans, no lake of melted cheese."
