That's not a dig guys, that's a statement about Central Texas BBQ's well-known stance that good BBQ doesn't need to be smothered in sauce. In fact, if you're smothering your BBQ in sauce, you're likely trying to compensate for the lack of flavor/quality in your smoked meats.
