New Indian Spot, Far Eats Opens Today

2301 Fifth Avenue, Belltown
Phone: (206)770-6007
Status: Opens at 11 a.m.

Restaurant entrepreneur Geogy Chacko, who has owned several spots named Chutney Grill and Beba's, opens Far Eats at the corner of Fifth & Bell today. Eater previewed the eclectic menu of toned-down Indian dishes, including excellent tandoor-baked naan. The tandoor was left over from the first tenant in the space, seven years ago, called Spice; in the interim it's also been Amore Infused Italian.

The adjacent spots on Fifth (Belltown Burger, Dos Amigos and Beba's Deli Market) are also owned by Chaco under the "Global Food Garden" umbrella. Unlike the neighboring businesses, Chaco does his own cooking at Far Eats. An all-day menu is available beginning at 11 a.m. and special thali plates(main with small side dishes) are available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
