Maggie Savarino, author of "The Seasonal Cocktail Companion," talks up pairing beer and food in an article for the San Francisco Chronicle. She notes that luxury hotels are hopping on the trend and samples Fairmont Honey Saison--a beer that was commissioned by the Seattle hotel and made locally by Pike Brewing, using the Fairmont's own rooftop honey. Compared to the San Francisco saison, Savarino says, "the Pike saison has a little more body and a lighter finish. The honey in the Seattle ale registeres as more floral." [SFGate.com]
