Blind Pig Bistro cook Manuel Alfau, who's also worked at La Bête and Anchovies & Olives, tells Eater that he plans to open a Caribbean sandwich shop at the site formerly occupied by Seasons Cafe in Pioneer Square. Alfau says that construction should start in a couple of weeks. La Bodega will feature food from the Dominican Republican (Alfau's homeland) and Latin American flavors, "focusing on a roast pork sandwich." If you want a taste of what Alfau's cooking (namely the signature pork sandwich), he will be at Montana barbecuing this Sunday at 5 p.m.
