Peep Visually Dazzling Cal's Classic American Kitchen

French Laundry and Bastille alumnus Shannon Galusha's new place (with business partners Jeff Chandler, Matthew Schweitzer) is Cal's Classic American Kitchen, which debuted earlier this month in South Lake Union. This is the second of the group's Cal's concepts to launch in Puget Sound. The first opened in Kent last Fall. The Amazonia version is festooned with touches of Americana. The large space is divided into areas that make the room feel cozier. The industrial, masculine expanse (exposed brick, metal ductwork) is enlivened with bold signage and judicious bursts of color and objets d'art.
