Multiple sources report that former Top Chef contender Robin Leventhal has taken over Belltown's Local 360 kitchen. Leventhal, the thoughtful, innovative chef behind (dearly departed) Crave on Capitol Hill and (not an amicable parting) Stopsky's on Mercer Island, is joining Belltown's Local 360 to contribute part-time menu development and "creative support" for chef de cuisine Gabe Skoda. (Skoda has worked at Crush, Zoe and Salish Lodge).
Leventhal's assignment will be to work on tasting menus and weekly specials. On the operational side, she will help fine-tune the culinary skills of the kitchen staff and on kitchen logistics. She will also spend time with local purveyors. And (in her copious spare time!) she will do private dinners in the back room, "when inspiration calls."
"I have great love for the mission and the food at 360," Leventhal tells Eater. "I couldn't be more thrilled with this opportunity!"
It's been musical chairs over there, since Mike Robertshaw was let go earlier this year. Robertshaw will be the chef at the very eagerly anticipated Where Ya At Matt bricks and mortar bar and restaurant, Roux.
