Ballard resident Craig Walker and business partner Dave Svrcek opened Ballard Station Public House three weeks ago in the space that was previously occupied by Nickleback-plagued Ballard Avenue. The bar serves a casual menu consisting of paninis, meat and cheese plates, popcorn, and other bar snacks. Walker and Svrcek (who also owns Targy's Tavern in Queen Anne) have created a bar filled with autographed soccer balls, darts, shuffleboard, that is intent on serving the neighborhood. Ballard Station Public House has ten beers on tap, and the current lineup including local favorites such as Manny's, Hilliard's, and Snoqualmie. The updated tap lineup is available on their website.
