Vegan tourists, it's a dream come true. Local plant-based cuisine whiz Makini Howell has opened Plum Market at Seattle Center, joining a slew of local favorites that now have outposts at the Armory. Plum Market sells vegan sandwiches, salads, cupcakes, and cookies. In more Plum news, Howell's forthcoming cookbook (release date is April 23, 2013) is available for pre-order at Amazon.

This is the latest outpost for Howell's growing vegan empire. She currently runs Plum Bistro and Plum Cafe in Capitol Hill and Hillside Quickies Vegan Sandwich Shop in the U-District.
