The Ring King of Seattle, Top Pot Doughnuts, is getting ready to open up its first shop in Issaquah. Construction begins shortly. Co-founder Mark Klebeck says:
We have a lot of great loyal follower from Issaquah that regularly visit our Bellevue and Redmond locations. We felt that it was geographically an area we wanted to be in. It was just a matter of finding the right space at the right time.
The time is now and the space is a cylindrical 1960s building located near the transit center at 12th Ave. and NW Maple St.. That round building has been two burger joints, a cafe, a coffee shop and a Mexican restaurant.
Klebeck says the Issaquah Top Pot should be open by late February. It will be the local chain's fourteenth store (six of which opened last year). This year, Klebeck says we can expect at least four more Top Pots, with the first franchise location popping up in midtown Manhattan.
