La Bodega, Juicebox Announce Opening-ish Dates

Kari Brunson and Brandin Myett say the new permanent home for their pop-up juice shop, Juicebox, will officially open to the public the week of November 11, with a soft opening planned the week prior (that would be next week). The 25-seat cafe is taking over a former interior design space at 1517 12th Ave. on Capitol Hill. Until now, Juicebox has been operating out of La Bete on weekends.

Over in Pioneer Square, Manu Alfau has announced a grand opening date for his Dominican sandwich shop, La Bodega: November 15. "It feels good to finally get the doors open after the struggles I have been through for that particular space," says Alfau, who is basing the menu at La Bodega on the food he enjoyed as a child growing up in the Dominican Republic. The shop (located at 100 Prefontaine Pl. S.) will be open from 11 am to 7 pm, and will offer take-out. Look for further opening details on Facebook.
