Because The Comet Tavern hasn't been through enough problems as of late, word comes that the place is now a few bucks short. Someone ripped off the dollar bills that were stuck to the ceiling. New owners Dave Meinert and Jason Lajeunesse write, "It's with great sadness that we are writing to report the The Comet was broken into last night. The only thing stolen, but maybe the most important remnants of [its] past, were the dollar bills on the ceiling." CHS reports that the bills were removed periodically and donated to a nonprofit.
