PIKE PLACE MARKET— Marche is hosting a party to celebrate the release of Beaujolais Nouveau on November 21 from 4:30 pm until the barrel runs dry. On hand: a little two-piece band in the wine bar, Director du Vin, Cyril Frechier, will be selling tastes of the Beauj, and chef Daisley Gordon will be slicing porchetta at the bar. Even if you have a reservation in the dining room (there are still some spots left!), you're encouraged to stop by and enjoy some festivities before your more civilized dinner. [EaterWire]
DOWNTOWN— Juicy Café, a Convention Center staple for healthy quick-stop offerings (including juices, smoothies, cleanses and gluten-free snacks) is opening a second location on the second floor of the Columbia Center. It officially opens November 12, but is (shhhh!) actually in soft-opening mode at the moment for those who can't wait. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 7 am to 6 pm. [EaterWire]
SEATTLE— 'Spinning Plates,' the award-winning food documentary starring Alinea's Grant Achatz and others, opens at the Varsity theater November 15. Seattle Met has the trailer for your viewing pleasure. [Seattle Met]
