SEATTLE CENTER— Plum Pantry at Seattle Center Armory has expanded to include an larger dining area, demo kitchen, and juice bar. Manager Jaclyn Wagner tells Seattle Met that even though the demo kitchen is open, it won't start hosting classes until sometime in January or February. [SeattleMet]
BEACON HILL— After calling an Eastlake strip mall home for 12 years, Hiroshi's has revamped and moved to Beacon Hill (2521 15th Ave S). The new Hiroshi's Take-Out and Deli is open Monday-Friday, 11 a.m to 6 p.m. [Beacon Hill Blog]
EVERYWHERE— Over at The Seattle Times, Tan Vinh drinks a year-old eggnog and lives to tell about his experience. While the recipe is not exactly like the legendary one created by barman Erik Chapman for Sun Liquor (check out the instructional video of it being made), it's damn close. How'd it taste? "The bourbon, rum and brandy were so well integrated into the milk and cream that you would have thought the cow was distilling its own booze in its stomachs." [Seattle Times]
