What will the Pike Place Hill Climb be without El Puerco Lloron? The Mexican cantina next door to Zig Zag has been bringing a splash of color to the steep staircase for 31 years, and now...they're closed.
Initially, they were going to close on Dec. 31, but a Facebook status update on Dec. 16th states "we are now out of business."
Rebekah Denn over at The Seattle Times says since the Hill Climb isn't part of the Pike Place Market, market officials don't have details on the ending of its long run. Stay tuned.
In the meantime, nothing puts the "Merry" in "Christmas" like a little used cantina furniture shopping on Craigslist.
