It's here! It's here!
Din Tai Fung, which has been a dumpling tease for more than a year now, is finally open in University Village. The ribbon cutting ceremony took place last night at 6 p.m..
Over at The Seattle Times, Rebekah Denn reports that the new DTF not only has a bar twice the size of the one in Lincoln Square, it's about 1,000-square-feet larger than the 7,000-square-foot Bellevue behemoth. That translates to seating for about 230. Yowza.
The good news here is that when you're told there will be a wait for a table (plan on it!), you'll be notified via text, which will allow you to do some shopping, grab a coffee, take a nap in your car, etc.
Hour of operation are Mon-Fri, 11 am to 10 pm and Sat-Sun, 10 am to 10 pm.
