The Westin Seattle has booked itself a new burger bar called Relish. It replaces the Coldwater Bar & Grill.
It was time for a renovation of that entire space and we were wondering what the potential could be and whether it should be a renovation or we should launch a new concept in that space.
The hotel's director of sales and marketing, Irene Lin, says Relish is a new Starwood Hotels concept, which means there will likely be more Relishes popping up across the globe in the future. Helping to get this one off the ground is chef Ali Majed, who hails from The Phoenician in Scottsdale, AZ, where the first Relish concept launched.
In Lin's words, Relish is aiming to be a fun, casual and modern twist on an American classic burger experience, offering local brews, root beer and burgers in a contemporary environment — and most importantly, something that's relevant to the people who live and work in the area.
There's a big expansive bar and entertainment area that's built into the restaurant, so it sort of becomes an entertainment hub where you can come and watch your favorite game, hangout with friends, free wi-fi throughout, communal tables, and things like that.
Relish will open March 1 with a grand opening planned for March 14. It'll be open daily, 6:30a-11p, and even later if business is good.
Psst. The Westin validates parking for diners.
