SEATTLE— The 2013 Washington Artisan Cheesemakers Festival is moving to fall this year to coincide with American Cheese Month. The event is scheduled to return for its second year on Saturday, October 12 at the Seattle Design Center. More than 20 Washington cheesemakers will be in attendance, along with some new additions, such as educational seminars. But the big change this year is that the festival will be held in two separate sessions. According to a press release, "This new format will allow smaller cheesemakers to still participate by choosing to attend one session only. It will also allow the event to grow without over-crowding the space which would hinder the interactions between guests and the cheesemakers." Tickets will go on sale in June. [EaterWire]
