Seattle Grocery Bagger Lands on Letterman; Easter Brunch

WEST SEATTLE— The 18-year-old grocery bagger at West Seattle's Metropolitan Market who took home top honors at the Best Bagger contest in Las Vegas last month will appear on the Late Show with David Letterman tonight (CBS @ 11:35 pm). Along with his talk show appearance, Andrew Borracchini took home $10,000 as part of the National Grocer's Association convention in February. According to his marketing people, Borracchini practiced for hours in preparation for both the state competition and the national championship. He is a senior at O'Dea High School and has been with Metropolitan Market for more than two years. [EaterWire]
