Now we know what his mysterious visit to Seattle in January was all about.
Top Chef All-Stars winner Richard Blais has been named creative director of locally-based DRY Soda. That means that he'll be working with DRY on flavor, recipe and cocktail innovation as well as serving as a culinary ambassador for the natural soda brand. In a press release, DRY CEO Sharelle Klaus says:
This is the first time we've worked with a chef in this capacity, we are extremely excited to have Richard's irresistible creativity and culinary vision involved in everything from sales to development. He is a relatable trendsetter and will be a great addition to our team.
Blais, who is also a restaurateur, author and father, says that he appreciates "DRY's innovative uses of flavors while maintaining all-natural and less sweet ingredients."
