Little Uncle, which started as a pop-up called Shophouse, is going to host a pop-un during brunch hours on Sundays starting April 21. New hire David Gurewitz, a former sous chef at Cascina Spinasse, will be granted the keys to the Capitol Hill take-out shop for his eclectic Hong Kong influenced pop-up "Big Trouble In Little Uncle." Says Gurewitz by way of newsletter:
B.T.I.L.U. aims to celebrate HK's vibrant food culture- mostly street-friendly noodles, breads and dumplings- while maintaining a sensitivity to the qualities that help define Seattle's burgeoning restaurant scene.
His forthcoming menus are still a mystery, but it's a safe bet updates will be posted on the Little Uncle Facebook page.
