New, 3 comments

Want a taste of Tanakasan before it opens? Tom Douglas is giving the impatient diner not one, but two chances to preview his soon-to-be restaurant by way of pop-up (of course!). The dinners will be held on consecutive days, April 20 and 21, at 6 pm at Palace Ballroom. Via Douglas's blog:

While the restaurant wont be open until later this summer, this will be the public's first chance to taste some the of items that we've been working on in our test kitchen.

Behold the menus:

Twice Fried Chicken Wings - sweet & spicy sauce, black sesame
Miso Dashi - matzo balls, long pepper, scallion

Riceicles & Robata - grilled new crop rice, 3 condiments

April 21
